Show Notes

When a friend who knows my spiritual path recommended I schedule a stay in a Buddhist Monastery as a part of my development, I was shocked. Never had Buddhism been on my radar before and I knew next to nothing about it. As they say, when the student is ready, the master appears. Following two weeks at Temple Forest Monastery in New Hampshire, I left with a valuable cache of knowledge about Buddhism, about myself, and about the perfect harmony between my own beliefs and those of the Buddha. This episode will give a very simple overview of Buddhism and then share some of the most impactful lessons I learned during this life-shaping experience. Learn more about Temple Forest Monastery at ForestMonastery.org. For an excellent (though very basic) overview of Buddhist beliefs, try https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/guides/zf8g4qt/revision/1 from the BBC.
